Before introducing any toys for the first time, wipe them clean with a damp cloth. ​ To clean your wooden toys, wipe them down with a damp cloth, and only if necessary, use a mild soap. Wooden toys are absorbent and because our finishes, paints and stains are water based (so that they are 100% non-toxic), it is also important you thoroughly dry your toys immediately after cleaning. We do not recommend soaking the toys, abrasive cleaners, or scrubbing. All Poco Nido Montikits toys are designed and safety tested here in India, and manufactured by the local artisans in Mumbai. We found several artisans who had the skill set but lacked the market knowledge. We trained them to manufacture our designs and provided them the raw materials. ​ We visit them regularly to ensure our high standards are consistently met. ​ We only use wood from the most sustainable resources and is FSC certified. We are always looking for ways to improve and are so happy to have found artisans that reflect and deliver on our values!

While the toys in each level are introduced over a three month period, your child will continue to learn and benefit from them for several months or years beyond that. They are designed to grow with your child, presenting new challenges as he or she develops. ​ If you’re thinking, “What am I going to do with all these toys?” our online guides explain how to organize your space to optimize playtime, including how many toys to keep in the play area at a time and when to rotate or retire a toy. At Poco Nido Montikits, safety is our number one priority, and we put a lot of effort into picking the material that is best and safest for each individual part of our toys to meet the highest standards for little babies. ​ Each of our toys meet and exceed all Indian safety certifications for ages 0 to 3, including IS 9873 (Part 1), IS 9873 (Part 2), IS 9873 (Part 3) and IS 9873 (Part 9) physical, mechanical, chemical, and flammability tests done by a leading third-party lab, so you can be sure that the toys are non-toxic and safe for your child. ​ Our wooden toys are also coated in clear finishes and colored paints and stains. All Poco Nido Montikits finishes, paints and stains are water-based and 100% non-toxic, meaning they are safe for your little one even as he or she mouths our toys - an important part of sensorial learning! ​ We manufacture 95% of our toys from wood to provide you with beautiful toys that will last for years to come. We only use responsibly harvested FSC certified wood.

Our program is designed by child development and early education experts to meet your child’s developmental milestones. Each level is based on the accredited 0 – 3 Montessori curriculum that has been used in schools around the world for 100+ years. ​ Our team of AMI-certified Montessori experts have curated the toys in each level to build upon the skills your child is learning, with the appropriate level of challenge at each stage of development. Your child will have the best experience when the toys are introduced in this way! Additionally, each montikit has been rigorously tested with babies and parents to ensure the toys and tools are age-appropriate, engaging, and universally appealing!
